A nice place to stay

I was there in July 2007 for the International Olympic Committee Session in Guatemala City. This is a great hotel to stay at in a nice part of the city (near the "Reforma" avenue area, with plenty of places to shop for both designer items and local arts and crafts; dozens of places to eat typical Guatemalan fare and Mexican food.)

Unique Quality: Within walking distance of restaurants, shops, transportation, etc.

Intercontinental at Live Zone!!

This hotel is really nice, the service is excelent! Its located at the live zone (zona viva) of Guatemala City. Neerby you can find restaurants, molls, and more hotels.
The rooms are beautiful, big, and nice. I recomend you to stay there, you´ll feel like home.

Unique Quality: Its location is perfect, it has business center, pool, gym, shops, etc.

Mushroom Soup Anyone?

I ate here with a friend a couple of times dessert, which was pretty good, but the food, it seemed like it was made by a recent culinary grad student. I ordered Steak with a mushroom sauce, "Sauce", I was given Steak with what seemed like canned mushroom soup. I wanted to split a soup and I was told I couldn't. On another occasion I asked if Tarte Flambe could be made. I guess the chef was to busy. This guy needs a reality check, I need to go back there and eat like I need a bullet in my head... The desserts rock at St. Honore....
