I stayed here several times - it has a great location, right next to all the fancy (=expensive) hotels, but it's cheap (I payed 14 dollars with breakfast). It is the only area of the city where it's safe to walk around at night.
It's probably the cleanest hostel I have ever seen (including the guest kitchen).
Good information about Guatemala, both the city and the country. In the city you can easily get to almost all attractions from this hostel.
Directions: It's placed in front of "Edificio Atlantis" (a commercial center) in Zona Viva (it's got the name from the bars/discos and restaurants in the area). It's 10 mins from the airpot.
