Classy and luxurious hotel
On a business trip we stayed at the Palace Hotel Dona Leonor. I really liked the decoration of the hotel, very classic, with lots of history of the conquest of Guatemala.
Unique Quality: the best service

Guatemala best hotel
I stay in this hotel 4 days and i have the best treat. The service was a 10. I travel with my husband to celebrate 2nd aniversary and we stay in the best suite, named Don pedro, i love so much this suite, i really felt like royalty, We have a impact view of this small city.
Unique Quality: 1. Great ubication
2. amazing view
3. magical garden with a fountain in the center
4. pool
5.jacuzzi and fireplace in the suite
6.everthing in the town was close (market, restaurants, shops)
7.excellent service
8. unforgettable interior decoration
9. restaurant and tea room

magical Hotel
This spring break y travel to guatemala, and my friends recommend me go to antigua guatemala, some travel guide take us to Palacio de Dona Leonor, i think this hotel is magical, i love ALL! the garden, the food, the service, the ambient, the guests, the pool, the ubication, everything was excellent.
This hotel has a cool history, is a palace i felt like a princess. Im sure ill be back soon!
Unique Quality: The ubication is the best, is so close to everything, shops, market place, central park, discoteques, restaurants.
In the hotel the pool, the garden, and the suites are excellent.

Antigua's Best Hotel!
Este hotel es excelente, delicado, con detalles que te hacen sentir realmente en un palacio, lo recomiendo sobre todo para una luna de miel y para gente que disfruta de ambientes acogedores y disfruta de las flores, ya que en sus jardines a cientos de especies de orquideas!!!
Unique Quality: This hotel is excellently decorated and the details in side really make you feel like your royalty in a palace.... it was like stepping back in time and re-living the glory days of Antigua's colonial past.
I would highly recommend this hotel for a honey moon for people who enjoy intimate atmospheres and like flowers, because their gardens are amazing with lots of different types of flowers.
I discovered this hotel by looking at the photos on the website, it is such a beautiful place - a must for anybody traveling in Antigua. Although a little expensive the service and facilities are top notch!
Even if you just go for an afternoon tea in their tea room you can still capture the wonderful colonial atmosphere of a place that was once the home of a great spanish conquerer.

sipping with history and character
My stay here was short but sweet, i stayed here for the last couple of days before i flew home but i wish i had know about this place before hand. I can fully recommend this place as having good service, waitors, doormen and receptionist who really know how to look after their guests. The facilities were more than what i epected - every room dedicated to a spanish nobleman, this place is oozing style and sophistication.
Unique Quality: The unique qualities were its fantastic location matched with the qualtiy of service and facilities that simply cant be found anywhere else in such a close vecinity to the main park, cathedral and all the other major attractions of antigua.
Its quite, tasteful, romantic atmosphere, beautiful gardens and an amazing terrace.

Romantic yet filled with elegance and charm
This is a beautiful hotel, clean and quaint, with a very friendly staff who know everything about Antigua. If you are interested in learning about the colonial history of Central America, Antigua, Guatemala is the place to begin. With its 18th century churches and monasteries, some of which are still in ruins, it invites to learn the lore of past conquistadors.
Unique Quality: I visited this place with my wife on our 15th wedding anniversery, although i secretly wanted to stay in Palacio de Dona Leonor because of a recommendation about the history and colonial architecture of the hotel ---- it made for the perfect retreat for me and my wife.
The romantic gardens, the fountain, the luxurious rooms.... it made for the best trip that i have had in years!!

Hi there, well...that's pretty close to holy week. So it may not be that easy to find hotels in antigua. But any way, have you tried the list on trip advisor or go www.passplanet.com/guatemala for info including phone numbers. Keep in mind than in guatemala you have to dial 8 digits after the (502) so you may have to add a number in front. For antigua add a 7 in front if it's a land line. For cell phones add a 5 in front for the whole country. Try www.guatemalastory.com also for hotels. I've seen some good reviews of a good place in antigua www.earthlodgeguatemala.com or Try Casa de Huespedes Los Arcos $12 w/internet, cable TV and as I understand very clean (502) 7832-5412 or 5509-5612. Good luck.
