All in all, not a bad vacation. Very, very interesting. I could recommend people to go to Haiti. However, i encourage anyone to get their hotel rooms at one of the following, all of which are in Petionville. The El Rancho Hotel and Casino, the Villa Creole Hotel, the Hotel Montana, and the Kinam Hotel. Also, although, I have never been there, there is an all-inclusive resort about 90 minutes north of Port au Prince, called the Kaliko Beach Club.
Walking is the best way to see the sites in Haiti. When you get to your hotel, check-in, and just begin your journey. Anyone who does this will find some incredible tastes of culture, just at the hotel doorstep.
Taxi drivers are easily and readily available at every major tourist hotel in Port au Prince and Petionville. A taxi is the easiest way to get from Port au Prince to Petionville.
I recommend staying in Petionville and taking a taxi once or twice to the capital, Port au Prince, to enjoy the bustling of the city. It is like no other city that I have ever been to. A must to spend a day or two in.
staying at the El Rancho Hotel and Casino in Petionville is probably one of the best places to be. The pool alone makes it worth it. Also, their location can't be beat.
