right now, in jeremie, to my knowledge there are two well known places to stay:hotel la cabane and auberge inn. If you are looking for luxury stay away from la cabane. But it is convenient, located in upper class neighborhood. my last visit there was october 2005. rooms vary from small to big at a different rate of coarse maimum $5o us all you get is a comfortable mahogany bed and a ceiling fan , overall its very clean, they serve breakfast and dinner,very good haitian food. if you call in advance they arrange pick up and drop off at the local airport. they promiss to upgrade by including in the room TV and telephone. I will keep you posted.

Auberge inn is a little better, I visited it by curiosity It is an expanded colonial house with new wings located in the same neighborhood very chic a/c rooms vrey spacious with high ceiling, nice garden expect to pay a little more. they are in the process of upgrading also .
