Kingstons best kept secret
The service from the staff exceeds expectation at this hotel. Everyone whom I met that worked here had a pleasant smile on their face and they always checked to see if I was ok.
I recommend that you go to the mango tree restaurant and order the mango daiquiri, it is out of this world. You will definatley order one and then another.
The food was great. This property makes you feel as if you are at a resort in Negril or Montego bay, due to the garden theme on this property.
Rooms are immaculate and so was the bathroom.
Unique Quality: This hotel is in the heart of New Kingston, the busy financial capital of Jamaica. It is also walking distance to the Knutsford Express, so you can hop on the Knutsford Express and be in Ocho Rios in 2 hours, spend the day there and take the last bus back in and be back at your hotel by 10 pm. This makes it great for those of us who come to Kingson on a business trip and need to get away for a few hours.

Home away from home
Stayed here for 10 days. This hotel made me feel as if I was at home, due to the friendliness of the staff and the atmosphere of the entire property. I usually get homesick when I stay at a hotel for an extended time, but I must say that this did not happen during my stay here.
Food was great, the front desk staff were very professional.
Unique Quality: The customers service at all levels was excellent.

Stayed 3 nights recently at Altamont Court and although not the best impression given upon arrival at the hotel (area is rather run down), the hotel itself is clean & safe. Whilst my husband was out attending to some business matters, I was happy to sit by the pool and read. Pool isn't enormous, but jacuzzi next to it more than makes up for that. The food is good, service in the restaurant was great, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Rooms have four poster beds, which are semi-comfortable and spare pillows (but don't use as rather foamy!) and cable tv. Hot water was occasionally an issue in the bathroom, but overall happy. Added bonus, free wifi in all rooms.
Would recommend for business/vacation stay. Will be staying again on next trip to Kingston.
