I stayed with my parents in a bedroom suite. It had a bedroom with two twin beds, a bathroom in the bedroom, a kitchen, a living room with 2 day beds, and a table & chairs. 2 other sets of people had the same. The only difference was in one of them the bathroom was outside of the bedroom, and it had a queen bed instead of two twin beds. The other room was a two bedroom suite. Four ladies shared it. There was a master bedroom which had a queen size bed, and a bathroom. It had another bedroom with a queen bed, a living room which had 2 pull-out couches. A kitchen, another bathroom, and a table & chairs. Its a regular hotel, but its a nice hotel for Mission trips.
There was a little snack shop. I think they were building a cafe at TBT, and there was a pool. The pool was fun, but we didn't get there till at night after devotions. So, it was dark. There is also full access to the beach until 6 P.M. One of the 4 Turtle Beach Tower buildings by LeslieFun, 4 more photos There were 13 of us who stayed in 4 rooms at Turtle Beach Towers. My family (3 of us-my husband, myself and our 11 year-old daughter) were on the 11th floor. The rest of our group was on floors 3 and 4. The staff was helpful and courteous. The rooms were pretty decent for being on a tight budget. We did have a problem with very tiny ants throughout the hotel, but nothing that stressed us very much. One of our rooms said they saw a roach one night, but that was it. The elevators worked well except for one night when more than the allowable # of people were on, but they had them fixed the next day. In our room, there was 1 bedroom with 2 single beds in our suite along with a vanity/desk. Also, there were 2 daybeds in the living room area. There was a small table to eat at (seats about 4). The kitchen had a full sized refrigerator, microwave, small stove, cabinets/drawers, some plates, mugs/glasses and silverware. There was also A/C & a color tv! I believe the floor was tiled throughout. Our bathroom was in with the bedroom. Two other families had a suite similar to ours, except the bathroom was adjacent to the living room. The 4th group had 2 bedrooms. In one room was a double or queen bed, the other the same. One of the bathrooms was in a bedroom, the other adjacent to the living area. There were 2 pull-out sofas in the living area, along with a bigger table to eat at. The kitchen was pretty similar to everyone else's.
Our balcony looked out towards the bauxite mine (featured in the movie Dr. No) and Island Village Shopping Center area. This is where the cruise ship passengers disembarked. (Only happened once while we were there.) The Taj Mahal was also within a short walking distance to the hotel. We also had a pretty view of the mountains! The pool was a welcome relief-but we only got use it at nighttime after we were done with our mission activities. It has a little snack shop adjacent but it was usually closed by the time we got back. We pretty much had it to ourselves, though! The beach is a short walk away and it closes at 6 PM daily, I believe. We didn't get back in time to use it but once in the afternoon and we used it the morning of our departure. The water was warm and clear, didn't see too many "critters." The only disagreeable thing was the amount of seaweed-but still we didn't mind all-in-all. There was 24 hour gated security. Not sure exactly what our rate was as we worked with a missions group. Theme: HotelComparison: less expensive than average
