Only hotel owned by Jamaican family. Clean, well maintained hotel on Hip Strip. Needs some tlc and updates. Staff very pleasant and accomodating, restaurant very good. Hotel caters to Jamaican business people and experienced Carib travellers. Wouldn't recommend to "Disney families" or non-adventurous people.
Hotel is catty corner from Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and next door to Coral Cliff Casino. Great place for singles or groups of friends to go. Ocean view rooms with balconies are about $95USD. Veranda dining has great views. Not all inclusive, not resort property.
Hotel can arrange all tours activities w/ transport.
Location very central to most activities.

This place is a combo of arcade, casino, disco, bar, restaurant.
On Tuesdays they have a play called viva xiamaca. It is a fabulous production of the history of dance and music in Jamaica. I highly recommend this place. Casual chic to dressy

This restaurant is found behind Coral Cliff Hotel (just pass Punto Latino).
It is sooo worth the walk/drive!!!!!! It is romantic, the food exceeds any other I have tasted but suprisingly it comes for the same price. I wouldn't be giving this place justice if I said it was magnificent. It was far more. The signature dish is the "Tapas". My mouth is drooling as I write. It is a sampling of any 3 dishes on the menu. I visited 4 times (yes 4!!!) in my 1 week stay!!! Other favourites are:
Snapper Camambert, Lamb Tzatziki and Salmon Filet Mattaine.

Broad Montego Bay

I spent a week in Montego Bay, but didn't see Montego Bay.
Let's try to explain:

When, in your country you choose a Jamaican hotel, their location is referred to one of the main touristy points - Montego Bay, Negril, Runaway Bay, and so on!

When you arrive to Jamaica you'll find out that your hotel may be very far from the referred city, that you may never visit.

That's what happened to us - our first hotel was Gran Bahia Principe, mentioned in the brochures as located in Runaway Bay (not far, indeed, but we never went there!) and listed in VT as... in Montego Bay.

Our hotel offered us the chance to visit Negril, and stay there two nights. We accepted it, and the hotel "in Negril" is mentioned in its homepage as... in Montego Bay - as a matter of fact it stays halfway, about forty kilometers from both of them (not listed in VT, maybe because it is brand new).

In this traffic we passed twice in Montego Bay, but never stopped, unless to raft Great River - also in Montego Bay... or something.

So, don't blame me if my pages seem a little confusing! Things are confusing out there.
