can be sometimes a bit loud of the nights due to the night parties are jsut beside kuyaba

Kuyaba is well known for its cutting edge restaurant on Negril's 7 mile beach (my last visit there they had a classical duo guitarist and cello playing classical versions of reggae songs---really amazing!) with really good fancy food (lobster dishes and the like) in a cool setting right off the beach, and not all that expensive. They also have cool habitations as well, with 3 kinds of rooms----rustic cottages, superior rooms, and honeymoon treehouse, all at reasonable prices on their website, none of which are over about $125 a nite....

PROS

this hotel is in a beautiful setting with a lovely restaurant. The bar is fun and the food is great.

They have security.

Delux rooms are a reasonable price for what you get ($106.00 per night plus tax and 10%)

You can get a room fridge for $5.00 extra per day

The owners have communicated with me when I had trouble with reservations.

Some of the staff are wonderful (AND SOME ARE NOT!!)

CONS:

Beds in most of the delux rooms are VERY HARD as they sit on a cement pedastool

Of course ther are no Phones

Our dog sitter left three messages for us that we never got (I was in the office talking to the staff daily)

Some of the staff are Rude (This was the case on the phone when trying to make resrvations, at $2.00 per minute is is madening)

Resturaunt service is SLow

The beach HAS VERY LITTLE SHADE and they have no unbrellas and not enough palm trees (other beached have a repreive from the hot sun)

No Pool

Small, but really nice and with lots of charm...

Unique Quality: Atmosphere and design. Very green and beautiful.
A bit over the top at times though....

Definitely beats all those all-inclusive monsters by
orders of magnitude....
