WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

My experience at this hotel 7/2011, was horrific and I mean that literally. When we arrived there we had to pay more money for our reservation, then when we got to the room we had no towels, no floor mats. We were unable to walk around barefooted in the room because the floor was wet. The pool had algae in it and the owner advised her staff that we could swim in it anyway, but that wasn't the worst part. After the first night, we had to keep on asking them to resolve the issue with the pool so we could use it but that wasn't resolved until about 3pm, so on top of everything else,we had no pool for one day, then came the blackout about 4pm. Then the strip lost power and this hotel, Sunset On The Cliffs had no back up generator but the Sunset On The Beach, which has the same owner, had a generator. No one came to tell us anything! No explanation for hours! so we went to the front desk, to find out what's going on,they offered us a handful of tealights but they had no match. No manager came to speak to us, nor to offer any services. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

Cliffside resort in West End

Sunset on the Cliffs is a wonderful small resort on the Negril Cliffs----they have a pool and a nice bar/restaurant right on the cliffs---they make an incredible frozen Daquiri!
Rates in the off season run $60 a night for a small garden view room to $140 a night for either a Superior room Ocean View with a fridge, or a studio Ocean View with a kitchenette and 2 doubles. Rates do not include 10%tax and includes full breakfast. A nice spot on the cliffs---lots of other good places to eat close by-----
They also have a deal that you can get all-inclusive if you want, which lets you have free transfers to the beach and their sister hotel Sunset on the Beach.

"Jamaica, Mon---on the Negril Cliffs"

The Cliffs of Negril, Jamaica are the best, least expensive vacation close to my home of Atlanta, Georgia. Delta flies there often and Air Tran is starting a non-stop flight from here soon. 2 1/2 hours later you can be in Montego Bay, where you can hire someone to take you on the 1 1/2 hour ride along the coast to Negril. You can stay in the off season, May through October at least, for between $50 US and $250 US. Many local restaurants have delicious food and you know that some real Jamaicans are benefitting from your visit.
