by sandravdp

Alablanca apartments provides apartments for two, three or four people (and yes ofcourse as one person you can stay at a two persons appartment).

Every apartment/cabinhouse has it's own terrace at the back. It's nice sitting here. You can see it on the picture.

We have stayed at both the Sand Dollar and Buddy Dive Resort and both are satisfactory and offer good value. It appears the Sand Dollar will be ready for full operation in about another year.
3 bedroom apt. $220US

Both resorts have a full complement of pool, restaurant, bar, lovely sunsets, dive shops, dedicated boats for diving. Prices very competitive.

by foplaw

Queen's Gardens is a small (<15 rooms) hotel that is beautiful and quite special. It is on the leeward side of the island and therefore a bit out of the way but worth it.
Depends on the season but in high season it is around $200 per night.

by vela_candela

Sonesta Hotel has it all when you want a quite time during your stay... quick and direct access to beach... and it's only 7 minutes from downtown whenever you want some noisy time!

the beach is quite good, anyway the tide is too strong to be sure to not go alone... maybe no one will notice if you disappear... The pool is great an it has a caribbean design full of 'palmeras' around it, that gives it a little shade for those avoiding the premature melting...

by stimpson

While we were living on St. Maarten we lived in a rental house. But when we went to Saba we stayed at a place called El Momo, which was owned by some friendly people, did not cost too much and still offered a good stay.
I think we payed about $40 for a double, which is cheap compared to other places to stay. Probably the prices went up since then, but it will probably still be affordable.

The price is pretty good for what you get.

I recommend that you take Carnival cruise to this island.
$600 to $1000 per person per week plus $9.50 per day for tips. This will include your cabin, food, and entertainment but it will not include alcoholic beverages, taxis, tours, or airfare.

I'll fill this in later. Email me if you can't wait.

by MichelG

There is quite a divers choice for accommodation Personally I prefer to be around the center of Willemstad, which is the capital of the island, but it is definitely worthwhile considering to be further away where you can find some more recently build parks with bugalows. This is also influenced by the kind of transportation you have access to....

The following hotels have their pro's and con's and are therefore always within my scope of choice:

Plazahotel:
right in the center, cheap, no beach.

Avila Beach Hotel:
classical and pleasant surroundings, private beach, good restaurants.

Lionsdive:
Never stayed there but I have understood this is also a good choice. Nice environment with many plants, on the beach, private swimming-pool.
www.plazahotelcuracao.com

Plazahotel is relatively cheap. You can stay there for US$60 per night per room. Don't expect the most fancy room, but it is good enough...

Avila is among the more expensive hotels, but I still think it is reasonably priced for the quality you get.

Lionsdive is also not among the cheapest. However they are very active with special offers, therefore it is always usefull to check their site.

Sea View Hotel: Sea View Hotel

by SunnyIsle

I paid $35.00 US per night

Because the beach is not within walking distance as I found out, the pool would have to do.
It is an excellent hotel, if you are on a budget. The rooms are cleaned daily. In the room is a kitchenette. The view can be of the sea or the neighbours in Cay Hill.

Time Sharing Vacation

by Chrystalain

Since it was time sharing vacation, we stayed at the Towers at Mullet Bay. These condos are very beautiful and completely furnished. First they made a mistake. They promised a 2 rooms condo, but we ended up with a studio. Since we were 4 and didn't really want to sleep with my in laws, we called the company. They arranged us to have a studio on our own, but with the bad view (because of Lewis tornado). Since we didn't really care about the view from the room, we were in heaven!

Marble everywhere... very chic!

MOHO BEACH HOTEL: In the town...

by Chrystalain

Since we had a problem with the plane (an airport employee had an accident with the truck that gets our suitcase in the plane and broke the plane) they paid us a night at Maho Beach Hotel and Casino (along with a reimbursement and ticket for a nice dinner at
the restaurant).
