Sticker Shock Hotel
Vista Mar sits on the long and beautiful beach of Pochomil, which is about 1 hour south of Managua on the Pacific Ocean and about 2 miles down the beach from Barcelo, Montelimar. It is a nice place with decent food. The thing that killed me was the uncompromised "demand" for $175 USD a night; nothing included. Didn't stay long. They don't negotiate price so don't waste your time thinking they will. The owers are filthy rich and don't care if they make money or not. Its quiet though...no one is ever there. Price keeps them away. The beach is not private but it is nice enough and will quickly allows you to immerse yourself right in the middle of Nicaraguan culture.
