Ask plenty of questions

It seems that Central America has perfected the art of hiding fees on plane tickets better than any other parts of the world....especially the exist taxes on plane tickets.......Ask when purchasing a plane ticket if the US departure tax or the Nicarguan departure tax is included in the price of the ticket !!!!! But still on top of that US citizens get charged $32 US in CASH ONLY !!!! to leave the country.. and not to mention the $5 fee for entering the country....even though I argued with them that the fee was included in my plane ticket, it didn't seem to help and I wasn't gonna leave the country without paying it !!!!! But on the bright side at least it seems there doing good with the money collected.....a new terminal has been built in the last 5 years with jetways for planes !!! A huge improvement from none !!! ASK QUESTIONS !!!!!!
Nicaragua´s Capital.

"The Intercontinental hotel (Now Crwone Plaza)."
Managua´s is the Capital and the commercial. industrial and trading center of the country. The city became the Nicaragua´s Capital due to a strong fight between the elites of the two old colonial cities; the Conservative Granada and the Liberal León. Finally Managua´s was chosen as Capital. The city is located between them in the shores of the Managua lake.
"The Cathedral. Old Managua."
Managua´s has been destroyed by earthquakes twice. The first one in 1931, that demolish most of the city. It was rebuilt just to be destroyed again in 1972 by the huge 7.2 (Ritcher scale) earthquake. Managua is a strange city, some parts like the Old Downtown seems a ghost town; the new Managua is growing with hotels, Shopping Malls etc...but for me this part of the city has no soul.
"Laguna Tixcapa. New Managua."
The best of the city is the surroundings, lakes, mountains and volcanoes can be seen from some parts of the city, specially from the viewpoint of the Laguna Tixcapa.
