A fairly average backpackers for a big Latin American city. MBI is really one of the only options in Managua, and I think they are well aware of that fact. There really isnt a lot to do around this area, and walking anywhere at night isnt a very safe option.
That being said, the staff are fairly friendly and have some good tips to pass on. There is a nice swimming pool and hang out area to have beers with other guests. There is a movie / internet room, and it is well set up as a social place to hang out.
I stayed in this hostel for about 3 weeks in total during my months in Nicaragua. It's a hostel built in a large house. The atmosphere is home-like with a kitchen and a living room. There's 3 dorms and two private rooms with beds for three. Rooms and dorms aren't anything special, just beds and a bath room. There is a swimming pool in the large patio, and you can wash your clothes for about 6 dollars. Lots of movies and a good location in the richer central area of Managua.
Unique Quality: Swimming pool.
Directions: Los Robles district. Take a taxi. It looks like all the other houses. Most visible indication of the house being a hostel is the picture of a bed on the wall.
