In the middle of the jungle in southeastern Nicaragua, you will find a true paradise in the tropics: Sabalós Lodge. This ecological lodge consists of a group of cabins built in a great environment with tall trees, colourful flowers everywhere and the presence of all kinds of animals everywhere. Small, charming paths connect the cabins with the restaurant-, reception- and bar-buildings.
There are many different cabins where you can stay: from more luxurious ones with a large private terrace directly at the riverbanks and separate livingrooms and bedrooms, to smaller, more basic accommodations where you have a smaller terrace and a smaller cabin. Prices vary between 60 dollars for the biggest one to only 25 dollars for the more basic ones.
We stayed in the cabin called "Guapote-cabin", where we had a small terrace with two hammocks, a small bedroom with a good bed with a mosquito-net over it, and a private bathroom with a shower. The whole cabin is built from natural resources and really gives you the feeling that you are "one with the nature". The costs for this cabin: $ 25,-.
The personnel in the Lodge is very friendly and helpful and they do their best to treat you as a king/queen during your stay.
