white beach resort by quime Surely it is the best deal in town!!! An "All Inclusive" resort that I recommend it plenty! for some Reviews of the resort see this link.
The ROYAL DECAMERON Beach resort It's only three years old, so everything is functional and new. The interior design, a melange of "muralled" walls, neo-Moroccan light fixtures, and Spanish colonial loveliness elevate even the buffet breakfast meal to a memorable event. There are five restaurants onsite, three pools, countless bars that stay open until early morning. You can jet ski, kayak, and paddleboat to your heart's content Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: 2 hours from Panama CityPhone: (507)993-2255Directions: West of PanamaWebsite: www.decameron.com

The Hotel Montreal, located on Via España in Panama City is a decent place to stay. What they are definately lacking in the looks, they make up for with the reasonable rates, private bathrooms and clean hallways. I felt extremely safe staying there and would recommend it to those who don't care what their hotel rooms look like. I paid U$22 per night, with private bath.
Apparently there is a pool, but I never got around to seeing it. There is a crappy restaurant- adequate for a quick breakfast and free interenet (when working) available for guests. by snoopy9109 If you are looking for a convinenient place in Chiriqui as a base so that you can visit the mountains, the beaches, Costa Rica border, then you should stop at our house in La Concepcion. Most of our guests are repeat guests, so you know that says something in itself. There is a large garden with tennis court, lots of room to move around inside the house, Kitchen and dinning room, sitting room with television and even a baby grand piano.

This is a quaint old hotel which looks more like a small inn. It is run by a very nice lady who took great pains to make sure we were comfortable. The rooms were clean and basic. I took a photo of my room.(photo 2) It is located in the mountains in western Panama. We flew from Panama City to David then got in a van and our driver drove us to Boquete where we stayed at this hotel while visiting some areas in the mountains. This is in the highland region of the westernmost province.
We met in the dining room at a long table which was very old and elegant. We had a choice of several menu items so I got the langostinos al ajillo which means shrimp in garlic butter. They were wonderful. Dessert was a lemon pie which reminded me more of key lime pie. Another advantage of this small inn is that there is good birding on the grounds and along the country roads near the inn. Theme: InnPhone: 507-720-1327

Purple House--photo from internet by elsadran This brightly painted hostel is very well organised and is warm and pleasant! It is located in a modern and safe neighbourhood. It has very clean rooms with good mattresses. In the living there is fast Internet, cable TV and DVDs. Free coffee and tea and the use of the kitchen. The patio is the meeting place for the travellers and occasional parties... Book exchange and board games. Lockers and tourist information. Laundry service, luggage store, Spanish lessons and no curfew! It has 24 hour service. It offers a lot and it's my ...favourite colour!!! Dorms cost 7,70$ and private rooms start at 20$. Get into the site to see everything. It is better to refer to it as 'La Casa Morada' (in Spanish) when you are asking locals for directions. Buses for a lot of destinations pass just by the house. If you come by bus from Cost Rica don't go to the terminal; tell the driver to stop at the station 'Universidad Technologica', at the 'Camara de Comercio' which is the Chamber of Commerce. It is 3 blocks from the bus stop. It is also 20 minute walk from the bus terminal. Hotel & Restaurant Boca Brava or locally called 'Frank's' is the cheapest hotel complex on the island. It is built on a raised tip of the land offering great views to the surrounding small islands . Having the shape of a ship it gives you the illusion of continuous traveling in the calm waters of the gulf. Moonlit nights are of special charm especially if you go up the central 'mast' which is actually a platform in the front part of the restaurant. We used to end up there with friends under the silvering light of the night sky engaged in endless high spirited conversations. Inevitable in such a wonderful scenery! The rooms are built on both sides of the 'ship' giving great views among the tall trees. The cheap rooms with shared bathrooms are as low as 10$ and have romantic balconies where you could spend your whole day with no complaint, if there was not so much more to do. The disadvantages are that having no other shops on the island you are at the mercy of the hotel owner, though the restaurant is not expensive and the food is quite good. And the nearest beaches are a half hour walk from the hotel though the path leading to them is through a wonderful journey in the jungle. Of course you have to go early in the morning or later in the afternoon because the heat is unbearable even in the shady parts of the path. However being confined in the place you have the chance to make new friends as people get more sociable. I was very lucky to meet beautiful people and share unforgettable moments with my new friends. I thank them for their friendship and their open heart and I will keep them in my heart even if we never meet again. I spent 6 days there and didn't get bored for one single moment. Our favorite dish was meat cannelloni, a superb rich and delicious plate. Our favourite moment was going up on the high 'mast' and exchange personal stories. And our favorite relax time was sitting on our balconies indulging in the beauty of nature. The worst dish was the fish dishes; the fish always tasted old and tasteless. And my worst moment was when I got lost in the jungle in a boiling midday stroll, when I had to give up my ambition to 'explore ' the island. I never imagined it was so big for my little feet.... The hotel is usually quiet if you stay in the rooms away from the restaurant, except on the days when a party has been arranged. Local groups come and play until very late and it is mercilessly loud. The owner, Frank, has already retired and is selling the hotel with the surrounding land so his presence there is only 'decorative'. The rooms are spacious and pleasant with good views but not especially clean. Neither are the common bathrooms for the cheap rooms. The expensive rooms are cleaned more often. Anyway the place is good and it is worthy of a short stay. Don't come without your repellent! There are mosquitoes and very ferocious small flies called 'chitras' by locals... There are facilities for washing your clothes. Room prices are 10$-30$ for one person, 15$-50$ for two, depending on the room. If you stay for more than 6 days they give you the seventh free. But I think nobody can stay more, anyway.... A short boat ride takes you to this delightful Island resort. We were the only guests our first night being it their wet season. Water so clear you did not need to enter to view the large variety of fish. A salt water swimming pool was available but I prefered the ocean. They do not allow you to bring food or drink and have a limited restaurant with limited hours. Food was quite good but a wee bit pricey. You could venture to the other side of the island to a village where there were 2 or 3 restaurants lining the water. (We did and ate wonderful seafood)
This resort is located on a coral reef. At night great big toads venture out to entertain my 9 year old who spent hours gathering or chasing them into the water. Yes, they can swim!

Hotel Bambito Resort by no1birdlady Located near Volcan in the western mountains of Panama, Hotel Bambito Resort is a new resort. It is a modern luxury hotel set amid beautifully landscaped grounds. The plantings here attract birds, especially hummingbirds. Because the hotels are included in our total tour price, I do not know how much it cost.
There is an indoor pool which is very ice. Meals here were very good. The hotel also provided box lunches which were very good for our day trips. From here, our day trips took us to Parc Volcan, and other areas on the slopes of Baru Volcano. Theme: HotelPhone: 507-269-5000

Raptor Migration from the Observation Deck by peggydaly Stunning. All inclusive, since there is no place around to go out to eat. It is actually in Soberania Park. They will arrange transportation for a reasonable price. They picked 3 of us up in the city and brought us there for $35. There are several hikes nearby and they will provide transport at no extra cost. Trips to further locales are extra, but reasonable. The views from all levels are beautiful and their specialty, the bird watching, is exceptional. In the morning a guide is on the observation deck to facilitate spotting birds and to help identify. Every person on site is exceptionally helpful.
