Anita's Inn and Spanish Panama

Terrible (1.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on June 3, 2008

I would not currently recommend this hostel and its associated language school since both are housed in the same building that is located directly across the street from the construction site of a large highrise apartment. The noise level is certainly not suitable for a school. There is much construction going on in Panama but there are better places to stay although it is cheap.

Directions: Two blocks from the corner of Via Espana and Via Argentina near restaurant Trapiche. Look for the highrise under construction.

Firstly I do the webpages so you can find more independent reviews in other places.

An oasis of calm away from the crowds yet a five minute walk from the cities main street and all main tourist services.
Budget accommodation located in Panama Citys fashionable neighborhood, just above the language school, 'Spanish Panama'. This is ideal for backpackers or people thinking of living or taking a break in Panama
The Travelers Hostel with the best location. In the heart of the city the fashionable CBD area, the most convenient base for tourists, backpackers and people thinking of living in Panama.Within a 5 minute walk, you will find some of the best international restaurants in the country, English speaking cinemas, internet cafes where you can phone home for 6 cents a minute, European style coffee shops, travel agencies, and banks. The city center's only park is right around the corner. Anita's Inn has single room, A/C, and patio dorm options. Spanish classes are also available as Spanish Panama is located just downstairs. Anita's Inn welcomes you to friendly bilingual service, a great contact place, and a great central point to explore all of Panama.

Unique Quality: Quieter and more mature than other hostels
* 2 Clean kitchens for guests
* Quality Orthopedic Mattresses
* Parking and garages
*Ground Floor - no waiting for elevators
* Friendly dog !
FREE Breakfast FREE Friday night Latin Dance classes

In the new center the CBD : Safe to walk around at night yet a 25c bus ride from the Colonial old town or $1.25 taxi ride from the Jungle Park and all major shopping malls

Directions: We are near the city's main street Via Espana, just off the Via Argentina so we are not hard to find. You can take a taxi from most places for less than $2, just direct the driver 150m down the lane next to the famous Restaurante El Trapiche
