Better than Hotel Veneto!
We couldn't stand Hotel Veneto so we moved to this hotel. We did not pick this one originally because of the price difference at the time of booking. Funny thing though, when we moved, Marriott's rate ended up cheaper with the 3rd night free special.
The room is spacious, clean, comfortable bed, has a sitting area and fairly large bathroom.
Quiet. It has a casino but since it's in a building next door with it's own entrance so the lobby is much quiter and not a lot of people hanging around. As I write this, I haven't stepped out at night yet to see if there are a lot of prostitutes outside of the lobby....will have to include that later.
Unique Quality: Very nice and helpful staff. Ideal location for business or leisure. Great for shopping, entertainment and vibrant night life.
I would go back to this hotel again.

Good Central Choice
Admittedly I'm a Marriott fan and have been Platinum for many years. This property is located about a five minute walk from the Crown Casino and the entrance to the Venetto Casino and the surrounding "adult" neighborhood. It is adjacent to the Royal Casino and directly across the street from Habanos (a small cigar shop / bar that specializes in providing working girls in a variety of ethnicities, colors and shapes every evening except Sundays). BTW - there are also working girls at the Royal Casino, Venetto Casino, Crown Casino and most places in this general area.
Unique Quality: Was upgraded to a beautiful suite. Rates are very reasonable ($110 government rate). Service was impeccable during my stay & I had access to the concierge room (and the free breakfasts, snacks at dinner time, sweets during the day & free sodas).
This will definitely be my home for my next visit to PTY.

Very Nice Business Hotel
The rooms were very nice and in keeping with a class 4 star hotel. The location was within walking distance of most things you would need. There was a park for jogging, good restaurants (especially a middle east one) and stores nearby. A place across the street sells Cuban cigars for those who are interested. I ate at the main restaurant and the sports bar and both were good. There are free munchies at the sports bar. Lots of business travelers with some tourists mixed in. Staff was what you would expect at such a hotel.
