Great Location, close to everything!
All in all, we enjoyed our experience at the hotel. It is well located, hence you are close to everything.
The room that we had was one of the new ones, therefore had a plasma, a nicely renovated bathroom, good beds and was very clean.
The people at the front desk were not too helpful but we still managed to get all the information that we needed from the bellboy!
The restaurant was ok, but nothing special and quite expensive, go somewhere else in the area there are some very good restaurants!
The pool is very nice and it feels great after a whole day in the city!
Do NOT take any of the guys that are parked at the hotel for transportation, they will rip you off. Just walk on the street and plenty of cabs pass. Always ask how much before you get into the cab.
All in all, we enjoyed our room and the location was great!

Great location
My husband and I stayed at the Granada the first two nights of our stay in Panama City. The rooms are small but clean, the decoration is outdated. The air conditioning worked great, they only had one iron apparently that we had to borrow from the housekeeping department everytime we wanted to use it. The food is okay, the sancocho was GREAT, the montecristo sandwich too. The breakfast included with the room is a typical panamanian breakfast and was average. The hotel pool is nice and clean, the staff was nice too. Overall it was just okay.
Unique Quality: The location of the hotel is excellent. It is walking distance from Via Argentina, Via España and Via Veneto. All three of these are major streets with restaurants, shops and all kinds of services for great price. This is where local panamanians go so the prices are set accordingly. Via España is one of the main arteries of the city so allows access to all kinds of shopping: clothing, electronics, home goods .etc... I would only recommend to walk around during the day. At night is not too bad just keep your eyes peel for any suspicious actitivity going on. The neighborhood across the street from the hotel is a very nice established local neighborhood with pretty homes, old and new and lots of trees...

The Continental's little brother
One of many hotels in the El Congrejo area, its location is great. There is a small casino, pool and restaurant and the rooms are quiet and ample. Nearby the Granada on Via Espana is the hotel’s larger brother, the Riande Continental with a much larger casino, more extensive bar and higher room prices, as well.
