Ceiba Country Inn: Friendly Bed & Breakfast near El Yunque Forest
We spent a night in July 2010 in Ceiba Country Inn located on a tropical Puertorican plantation. This well maintained bed and breakfast Inn offers 9 rooms on the ground level with various sleeping accommodations available. There are two separate patio areas with picnic table, hammocks and chairs. The upper level features the breakfast room with a large outdoor patio.
Our air conditioned room with a queen bed and a bathroom was perfectly clean and we liked to watch heavy rainfall from our outdoor patio. In the lounge upstairs was a TV and board games for guests.
The staff was very friendly and casual.
Continental breakfast served from 7 am was basic and included fresh fruit, coffee, bread and cake.
A biggest disadvantage of Ceiba Country Inn is that nearest decent restaurants are in Fajardo and this is about 20 minutes drive (if you can find the way at once).
Surroundings of Ceiba Country Inn are beautiful and this is a great place for nature lovers. This is also a good stop on a road trip through Puerto Rico and also a good base for excursions to nearby El Yunque Forest.
I would recommend this bed and breakfast for people who like nature and a little adventure but can value some comfort and safety as well.
Rooms are very clean and the surrounding tropical vegetation makes Ceiba Country Inn worth to visit.
