This Inn Rocks on the Weekends.

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)

This has been a spa resort where guests can enjoy the therapeutic effects of the therman waters since 1947. Legend says these springs were the original Fountain of Youth that Ponce de Leon was looking for. It has been renovated and has air conditioned rooms with private baths so is a nice place to stay. There are several swimming pools in addition to the thermal pool. We arrived on a weekend when it is very crowded and there are bands that play late into the night by the pool. They are loud and really rock. That's fine unless you are tired and want to go to sleep. In the quiet of the early morning, there are birds found around the beautifully landscaped grounds. We saw an Adelaide's Warbler here as well as the Stripe-headed Tanager.

I stayed here years ago and it was rustic... no phone ! no TV , but the "banos" are incredible, I had 'impetigo" on my skin, and it cured me of it after 3 days... If you are looking to relax then definately this is the place for you. Nights are full of "coqui's" and in the mornings you wake up to the birds chirping...
We found the restaurant a little expensive compared to other places around ... (tourist price)
