Casa Flamboyant: Great place, great frogs

Wonderful place, people, and food -- and great dogs! We only had time for a one-night stay, but we had a great time hiking in the rainforest park, lounging on the deck, and being led by Blackie down the back path to the waterfall. The coqui are loud, but hypnotic -- we slept like babies.

Unique Quality: Rainforest views, river with waterfalls, resident dogs and frogs

El Yunque Rainforest Inn: Best place to stay in the rainforest

One of the few places actually bordering the El Yunque national forest. This is also a true bed and breakfast with gourmet breakfasts served every morning. The owners live on the property and offer guidance for nearby hikes and other adventures and tourist attractions.

Unique Quality: There is a private hike to a pool above a waterfall. It is very secluded and deep in the rainforest. Every nature lover should have a chance to experience this place.
