Founded in 1760 by Faustino Martínez de Matos, Juan de Silva and Juan de Aponte.

Located on the east end of the isle of Puerto Rico. Mayaguez is about a 2.5 hour drive from San Juan. One of the more beautiful places in Puerto Rico however; the general populace I came in contact with were very cold. THe only location where I was warmly greeted was at the casino/hotel.
