Borinquen Beach Inn - in Isla Verde...about $80.00. Clean, simple, 1 story, about 200 feet from a great beach and 5 mi. from the airport. We have stayed there a number of times to/from cruises. About $20 ride to pier...

Watersports and activities in San Juan?

by cmb57

A friend and I, both female, mid-20s, are thinking of going to San Juan for four days. What kind of watersports and adventure activities do they have there?
i.e. snorkeling, jet skis, water skis, banana boats, ATVs, etc.

Also, are there any hotels fairly near the beach for under $100?

Hi!!!

You can find all the answers to your questions at this website: www.gotopuertorico.com.

The kind of activity you would like to do takes place here in different good beaches. Isla Verde, beaches at the East, Rincon at the West.

Hotels and rates also can be found at that website, depends on the beach you choose.

Good luck!!!

Student on Tight Budget Needs Place to Stay For a Week

by Nemonot

Hello Everyone,

I am interested in visiting a friend in Puerto Rico. However, I am a student on a very tight budget. I looked at the prices for hotels and they are way past my budget.

I am seeking specifically a room for one week in Nov. at 20-30/day. I guess the avenue I am looking for is a family with a spare room for a temporary visitor.

Does this exists anywhere in Puerto Rico and how will I go about finding more information?

Hi!!!!

There are pplz who use to rent rooms for a day, weeks or months to students near the universities or colleges. Maybe if you specify where in PR does your friend lives, will be more helpfull to help you find numbers, ect.

Had you checked the offers in Orbitz? Also you can reach the PR official torism site: www.gotopuertorico.com.

Good luck!!!!

Did you find a place? I'm in the same predicament and am wondering if there are any places you know to call.
Thanks!

I'm in a similar predicament. If anyone has found any cheap, student lodgings, please e-mail me. cfb2101@columbia.edu. I'm looking to travel between March 10th and 17th.
