You would dress light and wear easy wearing shoes to take in the sites and walk thought the market square.Don't forget the nightlife wear either. Resort i would buy my own drinking water and use it for my coffee and tea making !!!! lots of sun block and your shades of coarse. I just love saving sea shells and their is a place you can get all you want , but remember you will be packing them to carry home too.

"Freeport."
Freeport - capital of Grand Bahama - is the closest and most easily accessible Caribbean resort centre in the Bahamas, from Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) in Florida.
From here we took the 'day cruise' with Discover Island Cruises.

"I had a good time"
I definately had a good time in Freeport. I stayed at the Our Lucaya resort, and it was def. off da heezy. I partied at the prop club, and at soe local spots. I didnt know anyone who had been there before, but after searching the web for a bit, i found a site that showed what the locals do for fun (www.ilucaya.com) def. worth it. i almost ended up like a bahamian stella, but thats a diff story. lol. I think the best piebce of advice i could give to anyone is do local stuff, like go to diff beac hes than the one on ur hotel, Gold rock beach is reaalllllllllly goooooddd. Make sure you have company, i did, heheeh.

The first thing you will need is to change your money at the bank for English money. The Queen of England own's the island.I enjoyed the roundabouts, that's what they all call them. You go a round and around again untill you reach your right hand turn. I also enjoyed the parades and the straw markets with all kinds of gifts to buy.The water was very beautiful blue filled with all kinds of brigtly colored fish. The people are very friendly and the children sing songs for money, was so charming. The gardens was beautifully done, and as for great fishing the marlins are giants. The most relaxing beaches on earth.
