About 6 miles north of Fresh Creek (near telephone pole 209) is a small path on the right hand side. A 10 minute walk through the bush will get you to the Rainbow Blue Hole. Absolutely quiet, and perfect for swimming.

A ten minute flight from Nassau, and an arrival at an airport that is little more than a landing strip is a perfect introduction to Andros.
The big pull of the island is the fact that it balances its proximity to the garishness and commercialism of Nassau, with an idyllic remoteness that has to be experienced
I only spent 5 days there, but it was five days of scuba diving, reading in a hammock between two palm trees, and good food and banter with the fellow guests at the lodge.
Andros is the sort of place that is a wrench to leave, because after 5 days of no email and no mobile phone ringing, you start to get used to it.
Better to have loved and lost though, and i certainly loved my visit.
The most Photographed Harbour in the Abacos, with it's Famous Candy Striped Lighthouse. A perfect haven for the cruising Yachtsman.
I climbed to the top of this lighthouse and the view was fantastic.
I bought a collectors plate of this lighthouse which included papers and all and then droped it on my marble floor, smashed to smitherings. Oh well, so much for material things.
In the 80's I had the privilege of visiting the Outer Islands quite often and each time I would go to a different one.
