Stella Maris Resort: Long Island Hotel treat

by Gammy1968

This is a home away from home for me. Everybody working at Stella Maris is great, friendly and helpful.
In the bungalows you can also serve your own cooked meals as they have kitchens and the supplies you can get from a grocery store.

The location is great, you can hear the ocean when you go to sleep from almost every room.
There is a transport service to the different beaches and the marina so you don“t have to drive yourself.

CHEZ PIERRE: SOLAR RUSTIC

by enofile

Although I didn't stay at this rustic, charming bed and breakfast resort, I spent a day here being charmed by the owners. If I wasn't a wuss and didn't need air-conditioning, this is where I would stay. The solar operated cottages are charmingly rustic located on a gorgeous stretch of sand and water. The main lodge is Euro-charming, and the husband and wife team will make you want to stay there forever. If you don't need luxury, this is the place to stay on Long Island!

The setting and the owners let you know you have arrived at "the good life."

CAPE SANTA MARIA BEACH RESORT: THE BEST ON LONG ISLAND

by enofile

Your room is one half of a duplex cottage on the best beach overlooking the most beautiful water. The accommodations are large and charming in a rustic Caribbean manner. While the living quarters are air-conditioned, a screened in porch allows you to feel the ocean breezes. The bathroom will fit all your needs. The resort provides all the recreational activity you desire including scuba, kayaks, fishing, bicycles etc. These are mostly due a hefty extra cost. The restaurant is servicable, yet rather expensive as everything must be shipped in to this idyllic island. The resort was simply beautiful but rather stuffy and the clientele somewhat aristocratic. It was expensive, but I would say you get what you pay for.

The beach and the water were the most beautiful I have experienced anywhere in the world. The setting is simply incredible!
