give Chez Pierre a chance
OK, not stayed here, but have owned a home on the island for 10 years and have watched and experienced the evolution of Pierre's. Seriously, give him a chance. The old reviews are accurate as are the newer ones. There has definately been a change, and it is great!! Love his food, and Pierre has come into his own as a host. Many accomodations on the island are basic, unless you are at a 'resort', but Chez Pierre is definately a nice, relaxing place to be. If you want night life (of a sort) it is available on island, just rent a car. If you want real Night Life - go to Nassau and deal with the rest you will encounter there! But come to Long Island for quiet fun, beautiful beaches, fabulous fishing and the most wonderful people!!
