Zzzzzzzz......
My husband and I are coming in June, for the first time. We have no expectations except torquoise waters and white sands. We love to snorkle and are looking for quiet paradise. Any ideas, advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Abaco is one of the more developed family islands, not on par with freeport or nassau in terms of amenities but more advanced than the other islands. Also life is a lot slower on the 'out islands' which is a good thing if thats wat ur looking for. Dont be surprised to have an entire beach for yourself to relax and snorkle in. If you just wanna relax n take it slow good place to go, however , would recommend Cat Island, bcuz its even slower and has more of a traditional island charm. Great fresh seafood, local fisherman for boating, even emptier beaches for snorkeling
I have a beach cottage on a small island called Lubbers Quarters. Its a 15 minute boat ride from Marsh Harbour. The only way to visit the island is by boat. The Abaco's are called the Family Islands. No gambling, just fun in the sun. Fabulous diving, snorkeling, fishing well, all water sports. Lubbers has approx 40 homes, some rentals, there is one bar/restaurant and a bakery on the island. It is paradise.
