We stayed for 7 nights at Comfort Suite and did not find one staff that was not great. Why any one would pay to stay at Atlantis when they could stay at Comfort Suites and be treated so awesome, I do not know. Food was really good and the rooms were clean. Would come back.
Michael and Crytals were great at the pool side bar. More than willing to help out finding places to eat and what to do.
One of the most well-known hotels in the world, the Atlantis Hotel on Paradise Island is in itself a destination. Once you have seen its architectural profile, its characteristic pink and tourquoise towers and the Rialto-like bridge connnecting them, you will never forget it!!
Though having never slept here, I have visited the Atlantis several times. I would say the rooms here are not the main reason people come--its the whole package. The inside of the hotel is grand and luxurious. There is a casino (of course), a very upscale duty-free shopping arcade, many restaurants and bars, the extremely famous several million-gallon aquarium which has a large viewing area inside the hotel--it is the world's large man-made marine habitat!! And then there are the fabulous features outside the hotel!!! A large amount of space is devoted to an "archeological dig" and lagoons, and the famous Inca-looking water slide which shoots you through a tube and through the aquarium!!
Thank heaven you can purchase a guided tour of much of the hotel and its grounds because there is so much to see. Non-staying guests are barred from entering many areas of the hotel and grounds otherwise the place would be inundated with sightseers. Check the info. office in the middle of the casino for tour times, and to purchase tickets.
The hotel plans scores of daily activities for its guests and there is a daily program which outlines events, places & times because it is extensive.
Once again here is a hotel that has an ultra prime location, beautiful buildings & grounds and lagoons and pools galore. But that waterslide has to be one of the most fabulous in the world. I'm not sure I would have the courage, even though you are in a clear tube; to see sharks swimming around it would be just a little too thrilling for me!
The nearby marina is a fabulous place to see the yachts of the rich and famous!
Clean rooms each day, polite and helpfull staff.
Good breakfast in the morning and use of all the facilities of Atlantis.
The Comfort Inn was not too bad. It is a hotel that you can afford, but does not have a lot of perks. It was clean, but very basic. Will probably stay there again.
The staff was very courtious. The food was okay and affordable. Close walk to downtown.
I stayed on my cruise ship, which was nice and safe, and really the only experience I had as far as staying in the Bahamas. But I woke up to an extraordinary view.
We stayed on Majesty of the Sea a Royal Carribbean ship. We had a suite. 2 twin beds (they could be put together to make a queen bed) and a love seat that pulled out to another bed. The room had colour tv, a refrig and plenty of closet space. We also had a private balcony. Traveling with 2 teens the room wasnt always as neat as it should be but the picture will give you an idea of the room.
