Waterfont Dining:Great Fish, Steak & Bahamian Food
I love how the restaurant overlooks the waterfront and is removed from the hustle and bustle of Atlantis. It's a beautiful and romantic spot to eat at night. It also is just a great, casual spot for eating and relaxing during the day for either breakfast or lunch. There is a pool there which is part of Paradise Harbour Club & Marina hotel/time-share so you can always get your food or tropical drinks at Columbus Tavern and take it by the pool, which also overlooks the marina & waterfront! You can watch the boats and yachts go by. The marina is smaller than Atlantis. But again, it makes for a nicer, more island "get-away" feel in my opinion. Great view of Nassau too. The restaurant is open everyday from 7am(I think) to midnight.
The food is delicious. Fish is always fresh and the steaks and lamb are always tender. If you can handle it, although quite strong, their flaming Bahamian coffees are prepared table side for an after dinner treat (prepared with different kinds of Bahamian Rums!). They also have daily Happy Hour from 5-7pm.
They have live entertainment (singer) on Friday and Saturday nights and serve a traditional Bahamian breakfast on Saturday & Sunday mornings. On the other days, they have their regular breakfast menu. It's hard to choose just one...so I will try limiting it to just a few...
- I have a sweet tooth so let me start with desert first. They have the best Guava Duff I have tasted on the island! It's perfectly warm and melts in your mouth. I still crave it!
- Flaming Steak Diana. A 12oz certified Black Angus New York strip steak prepared table.
- Grouper "New Providence". A filet of Nassau Grouper stuffed with an herb & crab meat stuffing, sautéed & served with lobster & shrimp.
For appetizers, conch fritters & stone crab claws are hard to resist.
