Alicia's Palace and Guest House

I have stayed in Alicia's Palace on 2 occasions. It is a very nice facility with a breathtaking view of Port of Spain. It is located almost on a mountain top, which gives you that panoramic view of Port of Spain.

The rates are very reasonable for the area ($85.00 USD per night). The rate includes a full breakfast. There is also wireless internet access available. Depending on traffic it can take about 20 minutes to reach the heart of Port of Spain from Alicia's Palace.

The rooms are nice, not by any means lavish, but nice. Cable television has pretty much all the channels you want from around the world. I would say for the location and the money it is a good buy.

Unique Quality: They do have a nice pool. The pool is next to a very large patio, which overlooks the mountain and the city. This facility would not be good for the handicaped. There are no elevators. Some rooms are located 2 to 3 stories and you have to walk up the steps.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
