any effect of wilma on flights from miami?

hi --

my sister is supposed to fly from miami to port of spain on saturday, oct 29, on british west indies airlines. does anyone know if those flights have been affected b/c of wilma? thanks very much for any info!

Flights were cancelled due to the closure of the Miami Int'l Airport. Now that it is open, flights have resumed. You can check the airline's website (www.bwee.com) for further info.

thanks for the info. i have checked the BWIA website but can't seem to find anything that resembles an announcement of what is the status of various (future) flights. i also sent them an e-mail but have received no response so far.

at this point american airlines canceled their flight from here (nashville) to miami, but they managed to get reservations for one on delta. so we're just hoping that once they get to miami, they'll be able to get farther!
