In a garden
by kyoub about Kariwak Village
You feel like you are living in a garden at this hotel. You wind down a small pathe to the small bungalows that are set in among the tropical plants.
We had a full size bed and a twin size bed, a nice bathroom with hot and cold water. There was a nice pool.
No view because it in inland from the beach.
A spicier alternative
by Blondiina about Kariwak restaurant
Food here is a combination of local and international and spicier than in other places we visited. Good value set dinners. Excellent desserts. Very nice surroundings.

"The Hotel"
I was an advocate of Sandy Point Beach Club, until I had an unpleasant incident with management of Sandy Point Hotel (shares same facilites as Beach Club), so I stayed at Kariwak when I viisted in June of 2003.
My stay there was super relaxing, and a welcome change from generic hotels. Our poolside room shared one half of a rondavel, but next time I return I would like to be hidden away in the Garden rooms.
The food was superb, and I liked the use of the small space at Kariwak, it is a very romantic small hotel as it just seems so quiet and peaceful. There is a small garden with an ajoupa where the holistic treatments such as tai chi is done, hammocks, benches and a cold water jacuzzi.
Poolside rooms are fairly close together around one side of the pool.
"Garden Rooms"
Hidden away on the other side of the hotel, the garden rooms offer much more privacy than the poolside rooms and are surrounded by plants.
"Restaurant"
The food at Kariwak is good, they use fresh herbs from their garden and the rosemary bread is to die for :D.
"Jaccuzi"
Very nice spot to be, BUT it is cold.
"Store Bay Beach"
Kariwak is in the Crown Point area, very close to the airport and about five to ten minutes walk to Store Bay.
It is an easy walk to the airport, restaurants and beach in the area.
TOBAGO

Tobago is a fantastic Island.
It is so laid back, if your looking to relax its the place to go.
With beautiful beaches, clear warm water and sloping palm trees, you can't go wrong with Tobago.
I have been twice and my page will contain places I have stayed, restaurants I can recommend and things to do and see.
I really would recomment Tobago to anyone.
If your looking for Paradise, check it out !
I would recommend flying British Airways, because you generally get a good flight with a good amount of room.
I would always stay in the Crown Point end of the Island because for one thing its close to the Airport so you won't have a long transfer.
We actually walked to the Airport when we left, it was so close to the hotel it seemed silly to take a cab.
We have been twice and will definitely go again.
Theres something really special about Tobago, its wonderful.
If you stay around Crown Point, you have Store Bay which is a pretty little cove with lovely clear sea. Very nice beach to relax on and spend hours swimming.
Around the corner you have Pigeon Point which is beautiful. You can walk or take a shuttle. We enjoyed the walk because theres lots to see.
You have some very nice hotels in this area, for example Sandy Point Village, Coco Reef, The Tropikist, Toucan Inn and Kariwak Village.
You can read more about these accomodations in my Accomodations page.
There are also some really lovely restaurants in this area, personally I think it is the best part of the Island.
I hope you enjoy these pages as much as I am enjoying telling you about them !
