Round trip to British Virgin Islands
by KingArthur_no
Make sure you find time for a day going on a roundtrip in the magnificent British Virgin Islands. There are several tour operators on the east-side of the island, we started from Sapphire Beach, with "New Horizon II".
Load Up on Liquor
by seagoingJLW
There is a very generous allowance of items bought in the US Virgin Islands. Liquor allowances are also better here. And the prices can't be beaten. The stores are located in the old warehouses along the waterfront.
The shopping at the pier area...
by smike
The shopping at the pier area was great. There were many shops with lots of different products. There are many more on the way from the pier to downtown, ranging from outdoor type booths to fancy shops downtown. The views, with houses dotting the hillsides, to the warm weather and the great beaches. It wouldn't be hard to imagine spending your entire life here.
Greeting People
by visurferguy
West Indian people appreciate you taking time out to be polite when dealing with them. When you interact with someone, try saying "Good Morning" , "Good afternoon" or "Good Night" as the time merits it. This usually brings a smile people are usually more easy to deal with and it puts them in a friendlier mood.
Fungi's Rocks!
by visurferguy
If I didn't to live here and had one place only to go to for a cool drink, where would I go? FUNGI's. It's on the East End and right on the water. There's no way in heck you are going to find this place without a cabbie taking you there. It's just too tucked away. The food is great, the place is RIGHT on the water and the drinks are great. It won't break your pocket either. Trust me. It's on the EAST END and easy to get to. If you are downtown...it's along way and you may want to intigrate this with a trip to COKI BEACH (nearby).
Try the local food. The Roti, the Snapper and of course, The Fungi!
