A pleasant place to stay
I was staying for a few nights and had a great stay at the Mondial Hotel. First the staff was very welcoming and speaks fluent English, they were ready assist at any time, also I got a really very spacious single room, a suite actually for the price of a single room, on the third floor.
The hotel is overlooking a main street and there are a few restaurants around, but the Hotel itself has a nice restaurant and especially great bar at the 5th floor. Great view and very good atmosphere there in the evening.
The rooms are also very clean, and comfortable with a nice terrace overlooking the street in the residential area of the city where the hotel is located. Just 15 minutes to the city center.

a suite for the price of a single room
It was the end of our trip, it was steaming hot and we were looking into spending a couple of nights in a nice hotel, so we chose hotel mondial because of the swimming-pool that our guidebook boasted about. In fact the swimming-pool was still under construction, which confirms my theory that the LP is not to be trusted at all.
Rooms are not cheap: a single costs 90 euros a night, a doublr 110 euros and a suite 130 euros. Breakfast and taxes are included in all the prices.
Unique Quality: The hotel is often nearly fully booked, mostly because the Red Cross sends his workers, there. Because standard double rooms were all taken we were given a suite - but not for the price of a double room, for the price of a single. The reason is still unknown (but we appreciated it).
The room was obviously spacious and nice.

One of the newest and nicest hotels in Tirane
Tirana is a tough place to stay for tourists. That's why (if you have money to spare) it's best to stay at a hotel where you know you are safe. This is a great hotel for Albania not only because you feel secure, but because of how clean it is in comparison with other accomodations.
Unique Quality: The location is one of the best things about this place; right near the city center with great access to banks and restaurants.

A: "For sure no trains as there is no train line on that route, but i think there should be some kinda busses, but i do not know any details of it unfortunately."
