Pleasant central location
Located on the central Avenue, across from the Blok, the Rogner was the premier hotel in the city until the opening of the Sheraton. Its a pleasant 4* which has friendly staff, an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, gardens and a good restaurant. Rooms are decent but nothing to write home about and the whole place could probably do with a makeover in light of the far tougher competition it now faces in the city. A whiff of intrigue still hangs over the place and the coffee shop in the Rogner was where the movers and shakers of Albanian life used to come until recently to eye one another up (It wasn't unkown for the flower pots to be bugged!). You will still often see Ministers, big biznizmen, diplomats, spies and other riff raff with their heads close together if you pop down for a coffee :-)
Unique Quality: Location is great and surroundings have a charm that the other city centre Hotels can't match.

Value for your money
Two overnights are not really enough to judge an hotel but they are for sure enough to tell you it's ok ... the 5 stars rating is over-estimated compared to european standards, but the hotel is well worthy a full 4 stars rating.

A: "For sure no trains as there is no train line on that route, but i think there should be some kinda busses, but i do not know any details of it unfortunately."
