Cool Place. Cool People. Good Location
I did not sleep at the Tirana Hostel, but had the occasion to visit it 3 times and hang out there in the courtyard with my friend who did stay there and hanging out with the fellows who run the place. The hostel is a pleasant garden setting with a cool bar (good wifi there), sitting area. In the back, dudes were playing balkan music and sitting under the white mulberry (delicious) and fig (not yet ripe) tree.
Unique Quality: Cool owners who are friendly and know what's going on in Tirana and the lovely garden setting. Also the fact that the location is really close to Tirana's main cafe/restaurant/bar area...just a 5 minute walk down the street.

Hostel in Tirana
I stayed in this hostel for 3 nights.
I had a good time. The staff is friendly. It costs me 12euro (1500 Lek).
It has a laid back atmosphere.

Very friendly hostel with a cozy atmosphere.
The Tirana backpacker is a very friendly hostel right in the center of Tirana.
It´s run by a bunch of very friendly locals who are in to the great outdoors and can give you lot´s of good advice if you want to explore Albania.
The place has a few dorm rooms aswell as a kitchen, a nice garde, internet acces, WIFI, and they can arrange day treks out of Tirana to the nearby mountains too.
It´s really a nice and friendly place run by people who know their country and is happy to share their knowledge with fellow travellers.

Tirana's only hostel?
As far as I know, this is the only hostel in Tirana. It is housed in an old villa within a garden, about five or ten minutes' walk from Skenderbeg Square.
As you'd expect from a hostel, facilities are quite basic...dorm rooms with 6+ bunk beds, shared bathrooms, etc...but like the other hostels I stayed in on my trip (Sofia, Skopje, Prishtina), Tirana Backpackers was incredibly laid back, and not at all like those sterile official Youth Hostels with their curfews, rules and silent breakfasts.
I stayed three nights here in April, and it was not exactly busy...the room was never full, and none of the other guests stayed more than one night. Even when I rush, I end up being slower than everyone else! That said, it must be busier in the summer months, so you could try booking a bed through one of the hostelworld type websites.
Unique Quality: In fact it was so laid back, it took me ages to find someone to check me in as the owners were all fast asleep!
The old house has several balconies with chairs, which are good places to sit and eat the byrek me gjize (cheese pastry) you bought at the bakery opposite.
In the garden, watch out for the dog...
They advertise internet, although I didnt use it, and there is also supposed to be a cinema in the basement too...again, I missed any films that were showing.

The best hostel in the city
Njonjo Vt member is one of the friendly staff of this beautiful and charm hostel, the best stuff in this city !! i spent just a day there, it was quite hard to find out where it were but at last it worth it . Per 12 Euros i could sleep have a free kitchen, huge lockers, and special kind attention from the staff.. there is also a washing machine to use for free and its quite close from the downtown but quite further from the bus station (25 minutes)

A: "For sure no trains as there is no train line on that route, but i think there should be some kinda busses, but i do not know any details of it unfortunately."
