Amerika Hotel: HUGE room
The owner is adding on more rooms, which, if the one I got is anything to go by, will be HUGE -as big as a small flat ! I thought dinner good, and judging by the number of local people (and I think NGO workers) in the restaurant they must agree. The only disadvantage is the position, it being quite a way from where you arrive in Kukes, but I have no doubt that the owner (who speaks English) will arrange a taxi if you ask him.

Amerika: Good value up-market
Very pleasant. A rather modern hotel in an otherwise shabby town. 35 Euro ýs rather steep, but there is air-conditioning, CNN (is that good?), and a marvelous view of the lake and mountains.
Unique Quality: The massive, gigantic mountain rising from just outside Kukes is an almost surreal sight. Every time Ý looked at it, it just didn,t seem possible.
