Barcelona to Toulouse

by PeterBaen

Want to spend Saturday in Andorra while traveling from Barcelona to Toulouse. Planning to travel by bus, and would welcome recommendations.

Going from Barcelona to Andorra you can take an ALSA bus - the www.alsa.es web site can give you the times as well as the Map showing you where to go for the bus. Cost is about €25 one way and takes 3 to 4 hours. (It's also possible to take a bus from Barcelona airport apparently).

I actually have the same question.. but I want to travel by train instead of by bus. Would appreciate details... thanks!

Looking at the trains from Barcelona, I think you take the TALGO train that leaves Barcelona station at 08.37 via Girona 09.54, Figueres 10.24, Portbou 10.48, Cerbere 11.11, Perpignan 11.43 and arrive at Narbonne at 12.20.

Then change for a Toulouse train. ( Toulouse-Matabiau station ) via Carcasonne.

Useful web sites for this:

shows routes in Europe
shows routes mainly in Spain. (for the Narbonne train you may need to add Montpelier as destination)

We are planning a similar trip but in reverse with a rental car. What is the border crossing like? Is there a customs station, etc.? Is there a limit of goods into and out of the country? I understand the petrol is very cheap. Thanks, Harri

Travel Tips for Andorra la Vella

Celtic vibes!

Teaching Irish to the lovely manageress of the Connect@t cyber cafe (through french!). I used to go in daily to keep my friends & family uptodate with my friend's progress and I got talking to the staff about A-la-V and what I was doing there. The night before I left, she treated me to coffee and some extra 'net time so I could check flight details and stuff. Small cafe but extremly friendly - so go there ! :) Avinguda del Fener, 22 on the Escaldes side of town.

The Catalan version of Switzerland

I didn't get to spend much time here but what time I did have I did I was amazing. I did however feel a lttle clausterphobic in the city with the imposing Pyrenees slopes ending right at the sides of the city and the narrowness of the streets.
