Picked from the Brochure

Package based Hotel, with good facilities, and excellent Buffet Breakfast and Dinner (given that it was half board accomodation)

Unique Quality: Bus from the door to Gondola (not that you would need it, it was only a few minutes walk)

  • Opinion of Price: about average

Club Diana

Unique Quality: Dany & his (gorgeous) son and their lovely Scottish receptionist Katie will bend over backwards for you and are undoubtedly the friendliest hotel staff I have ever come across. The food is belissimia!
Dany is a fiercely pround Catalan but didnt mind me practising my French on him :)
It's linked to the St Gothard Hotel (www.sgothard.ad) , so that if you stay at the Diana, you can go down and use the facilities at the St Gothard.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average

Big isn't always best

by keith750cc about Hotel St Gothard

We stayed at the St Gothard quite simply because we were booked in at another resort and there was a cock up at the holiday company, so at the very last minute we were booked in here. A little bit of a hike uphill to reach the lift and the nightlife. The hotel itself was ok, rooms were ample and clean and the food was good ( although rolling up on the first night for dinner blotto'd didnt go down well with one or two of the staff) well it was a holiday after all. I wont give a recommendation for this hotel, simply because I thought it was a little expensive for what you got. If you dont mind paying the extra, then the hotel is fine, having said all this, its been 6 years since we were there, so its probable all changed.

A: "Arinsal is very casual - some [but few] dress up. High heels are not really appropriate if [like us] you have an uphill climb to your hotel in snow! I wore jeans/cords..."
