 URSZULA IN FRONT OF A TYPICAL
HOTEL, ANDORRA by matcrazy1
The best is location of the hotel very close to ski lifts (150 m), local restaurants and numerous pubs/bars (just downstairs). It's a ski-in, ski-out hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
My friends booked a room over 3 months before coming. They made a good deal getting 2 ski passes for a price of one and got a discount for a parking (5 euros instead of over 10 a day). They were offered 30% discount for skiing lessons but they didn't want it. They reserved only bed and breakfast for 10 days at a price of about 60 euros per room for two a day (in March). Now they are going to add dinner at a price about 10 euros per two persons a day. Shortly they were very satisfied about the hotel.

Most of the hotels are very basic, even if it is a four star hotel. During summer almost all of them are closed.
Also are several apartments for rent with very good prices all around, but they will rent it for at least one week.
During summer campings are very popular.

The hotel Barcelona is located at main road to Andorra La Vella in the small town of Sant Juliá de Loira.It is a nice and small two star hotel and also is a quiet place,around you'll find lots of shops and a few restaurants.The hotel has also a small restaurant.

I stayed in a smal, but confortable Hotel, in Escaldes, a town that is 1 Km far away from Andorra-a Vella, the capital.

The rooms are very nice, large, with 2 beds Has a car park (in Andorra is very difficult to parking the streets). I Was there in 1/2 pension, and the food is very good. Boasts good sized bedroom with wooden floors and nice bathrooms.
Breakfast on the top floor is an excellent buffet spread that even includes wine.
Friendly and helpful staff.

This holiday cost us £150 each for 7 nights - another of our bargains !!!!
The balcony was fantastic as it looked right out over the piste, so every morning you knew when it was time to get up because you could see the ski lifts starting! It was also somewhere to leave your soggy boots and socks !!
The picture is the view after a hard days boarding of the piste from our room. The lifts stopped at about 5:00pm every day
You could jump on your board and get right on the slopes because the bar of the hotel opended right out onto them, so no trecking through the streets carrying your board - bonus !!! Theme: OtherComparison: less expensive than average
