Thanks
HI!
I have been in the Rust (EUROPA PARK) 2 times. I was driving to Rust by the car from Frankfurt airport. There is approx. 3 hours to drive. But now there is posibility to fly to the nearest airport - Karlsruhe-Baden (FKB). To this airport you can stick flys from Girona (Barcelona), London (Stansted), Porto, Rome, Stockholm (Skavsta) etc. Karlsruhe airport is 60km from Rust. About public transport - you can visit this page - http://www.bahn.de/i/view/GBR/en/index.shtml
We were stayed at the Guesthouse Kril in Rust, great price, excellent stuff.
Hope this helps ;)
When I read the question I was also thinking of Rust near Freiburg, the Rust of Europapark. But then I saw it's in the Rust/Austria forum, so the question is about a different Rust.
Hi,
I was asking about Rust in Austria.I will taking an international flight. I can either land at Vienna or Munich. Wanted to know which is the nearest and how to reach Rust from there?

Rust is located very close to Hungary and to Vienna. (just two examples)
If you want to enjoy all your holdays in this little village or at the lake AND you wanna see Schoennbrunn Castle or the amusement park Prater in Vienna you have the chance to go to Vienna for one day....
Maybe you would expect you will see only tourists, fishermen or sailer in Rust. But you are wrong, also rich people like to enjoy the this very nice place. So you also have the chance to see such cars....
Hungary shares the lake Neusiedl with Austria but our neighbour has no Rust.
You don't see many Trabis very often anymore but in Rust I found one.
Servusz Trabi....
For all my hungarian friends, I don't want to make the world believe ALL Hungarian drive such a car. I know, Hungary becomes moderner and I also know, many Hungarian drives the same type of cars like Austrian, German or people in other West European countries.. So. please don't be upset when I used this headline for one of my General Tip.... Believe me, I love your country as well....
Buschenschank is the expression for some sort of a quite simple "restaurant" where the vinters are allowed to sell and serve their own wine and a few other pruducts produced by themselves. So it is a restaurant, where you can get wine (made by the vinter himself), mineral water and Almdudler (a drink that can be mixed with wine) and when the vinter has a farm with cows, pigs etc. as well, you will also get these items on the menu.
When the new wine is ready, these places set out a corona of straw or a bush of straw, so that is where the name comes from.
Nowadays many of these places will have a concession as an ordinary restaurant as well and you can get there beer, coke etc. as well, BUT in a traditional Buschenschank should be as stated above.
In Rust you will find a few great places like that, where you can sit inside the innercourt of the vinter-houses.
