i am traveling to klagenfurt on sept 2nd sept 2010,and i need to get to bled slovina from there. is there abus or train i can i can go there by and what would it cost and is there a time table. is there any good friend out there, who can help. will be spending two nights in klagenfurt thank you so much.

Take the train from Klagenfurt to Ljubljana:

Journey takes just over 2 hours, with one change at Villach, costs 19 euros (I think).
Then walk to the bus station next to Ljubljana railway station and get the bus to Bled. They run hourly, and the journey takes from around an hour. Timetables in English here:

Alternatively, you can change at Ljubljana and take the train to Bled Jezero, but this is some way from the town itself. I think bus from Ljubljana might be better.

No need to go all the way to Ljubljana since the train between Villach and Ljubljana calls at Lesce-Bled which is at 4 km from Bled.
So do use the site of http://www.ap-ljubljana.si/eng/ as Leics suggested but use it to find buses between Lesce-Bled station and Bled.
(on the website, use "Lesce železniška postaja" as your starting point)
Also, to get to the Bled Jezero station, do not go to Ljubljana but simply get off the Villach-Ljubljana train at Jesenice and change onto a regional train to Nova Gorica.

Thanks for the clarification, Bart......I saw Lesce-Bled but was wary about it's exact position and how the OP could get from there into Bled itself.

On the overall Klagenfurt, in particualar around lake worthersee is very beautiful. However it has had the reputation of being a bit snobby and pretentious.
Although i thouroughly enjoyed my time here it was still intersting to see the wannabies lurking around trying to get there picture in the papaer with a bunch of celebrities i had never heard of.
If you dont take the whole vibe to seriously youl have the greatest time ever.

I have not found a place like this in any other city in Austria so far, at first I thought it was a cafe or restaurant because of it's name which means 'Joerg's meeting point' (Joerg is Haider's first name - for details look at the travelogue); but then I looked closer and found out that it is some kind of information centre, or party centre for Haider's 'Freedom Party', I am not sure what is really going on in there as it was closed the day I was there; anyway those kind of things give you an idea of the different 'style' of politics in this part of Austria
This is Worthsee,the warmest lake in Austria,only 10 minutes from town,I can imagine people wandering around in the summer just taking it all in,it reall is a beautiful place to go.
Lots of places to eat and drink,boat trips in season.
Wonderful place to relax and paint I should imagine.
Theres lots af varied wildlife here,Ducks ,Swans,Moorhens and the odd dog being walked around,again this place was spotless,no litter or dogs mess,both of which made a pleasant change from the average park in UK.
