Cityhotel Geyer
Arriving I was shiked that there is a large construction site just in front of the hotel, half the street is being digged. When entering my room on the first floor I noticed a strong awful smell of carpet glue. As I expected the construction work started very early in the morning and it was impossible to sleep after due to the noise.
I assume the hotel will be worth a recommendation after the construction work ended, currently you should insist in a room facing the patio during reservation.
Update: My second visit (12-2008) was much more pleasant than the first one. The smell is gone and there is no construction work going on. Two more infos, pro: free parking, con: no elevator.
Unique Quality: Free parking, although not enough parking for all guests - check-in early!
