It is a tradition for my friends and I. Every year ( since 1998 for me and since something like 15 years ago for some of my friends ) we spend the last week-end of July in this wonderful place. Velden is on the Woerthersee: a large and very clean lake in the area called Kantern.
The main city of this area, Klagenfurt, lie on the other side of the lake, but this is another story.

Velden is not very famous, but, trust me, it is worth spending a day there if you are travelling through Austria.
