After researching the internet, there was really very limited information and reviews about Villach and accomdation. But searching in a local austrian tourism website got us to know about Warmbaderhof Hotel.

This hotel is on a thermal water grounds, its a resort with sports, spa and even medical facilities. It is a group of several hotels that are on the same place that is Warmbad.

It is a short 15 minute drive to Villack town centre . We were here for business.

They had roomservice ( By the way dinner is served 3-course in your room , not everything is brought in at once ! ) , they had good internet service , alot cheaper when we were in britain. TV has mostly german and italian channels and just one american channel that is CNN.

Hotel is new and clean, with friendly staff anf great service. Most staff knew how to speak some english but mostly are capable of italian and german since most their vistors or italian and austrian seniors.

Would definetly recommend this hotel for anyone who'd like to practice skiing in winter, hiking year around or just have a great relaxation time.

If you are looking for more family-oriented hotel the hotel infront of Warmbad has special activities for children and a better affordable rate. All can be found on their website.

Unique Quality: Well we were not expecting much of this hotel. But when we first arrived the airport the taxi driver told us that this is the BEST hotel in the area.

When we arrived the place had a 70s decor but it was all brand new and well maintained. The lady was so freindly at the reception shook hands with both of us and made us feel really comfortable.

We got a half board rate , that is including breakfast and dinner !! for 300 euro, a rate you wont find anywhere in europe.

Since we're muslims and cant have forgein meats and no pork, when we went to have dinner everyday at the restaurant the restaraunt manager would take care of our special request. It was unbelievable. The food was not a buffet. It was properly designed 4 course dinner , with fresh fish , lovely plate garnishes . Most of the desserts would contain alchohol , but the chef would always make us something on the spot !!

The next day we arrived to our table we already found it reserved for us and the same manager took care of all our special requests.

On our last day we met the Guests Manager, she told us that she understands that muslim women dont mix in pools with men so she can arrange for us to go to the thermal pools alone at 8pm when its closed and have it cleaned andopen just for us !! that was outstanding.

The hotel has breathtaking surroundings for morning hiking activies especially when its covered in snow. :)
