South of Vienna
by manuelEB
It's a pretty place where very nice friends of mine live.
It is close to Vienna and my dear Ludwig stays here for a while...
We drove behind the church and I had this
Annapet Technique's shot. I was not there for long but something in the air says me there is culture there. Those concerts in the park I was told they have during summer
will be part -oneday- of MUST HEAR tips.
Saint Stephen
by manuelEB
Important buildings in Baden are the Town-Hall (Rathaus) and this cozy Gothic church of Saint Stephen, which you can partially see in the drive-by shoot.
Pay attention Rathaus is written in German. But if you are interested in the English meaning, here goes a tip: the houses for big rats are usually located in London and Oklahoma.
St. Stephen's
by Bjorgvin
Visit the Late Gothic parish church of St. Stephen's (1477) in Pfarrgasse with its 64m high bell tower. A commemorative plaque to Mozart inside the church tells us that he composed his 'Ave Verum Corpus' in Baden and first conducted it in this church.
Strauss and Lanner Memorial 2
by manuelEB
I wanted to have a picture different to those taken in the touristic guides. I tried a different angle with and without flash. The sillouettes of Strauss (standing) and Lanner ( standing in his butt) were perfect from these spot. And the flash and defocus combination made that "full-moon" like effect in the sky.
This picture is protected by copyright in the whole Milky Way. If you made use of it without properly paying royalties I will tell "them", to the "serious" travellers, to visit your pages and leave comments and ratings. Ahrrrrgh!!!!!
Take a stroll to Helenental
by dvideira
Leaving the center of city, on the way to Helenental, there are many beautiful villas, an aqueduct, the ruins of the Rauheneck and you will finally get to the quietness and beauty of this valley - a nice place for walkin, biking and hiking tours.
