St Peter an Der Sperr / City Museum by desert_princess
This former Dominican church and convent, dating from the 13th century, was handed over to the Dominican Monks in 1444 and was remodelled by the imperial architect and master builder Peter von Pusica sometime after the middle of the 15th century. It contains a remarkable Gothic portal on the south side. First the Monastery was secularised in the 16th century, followed later in the 18th century by the church. From 1964 to 1992, the former monastery housed the municipal archives. In 1994 the city museum moved into the old monastery building as well as into an extention built in 1992/ 93. The restored church has been used for art exhibitions since 1966.
