Bad Ischl - Sissi's Tea House
The main tourist information place is just a short walk to the west from the train station on Bahnhofstrasse 6. It's open Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm, Saturday from 9am to 4pm and on Sunday only from 10am to noon. I happened to be here on a Sunday afternoon, so it wasn't open, but I stopped here briefly to escape a short rain shower and was able to enter the first set of doors and grab some free pamphlets before realizing that the interior was locked.
Bad Ischl is a little town on 468 m having almost 17,000 inhabitants. It is a nice old town with nice shops and a few nice buildings and historic places like Lehar Villa, Kaiservilla and Kurhaus. A few nice museums in and just outside Bad Ischl are also worth visiting.
